those last few pounds are the hardest to lose

hudson, as most of you know, weighed 20 pounds when we first brought him home (last december). according to his vet, a healthy weight for a cat his size is around 17 pounds. we have been feeding him hill's science diet, indoor cat formula, along with the occasional (i mean, daily) treats. and, up until i viewed these photos, i truly thought he was losing weight. but, honestly, who are we kidding...look at him here...propped up against his "fort" so that he can clean his belly without straining himself. it's adorable, he's adorable, but we've got to do something...

the good fight

He put in a good fight, and so did we. After numerous vet visits and weeks of syringes, Poppa was put to rest on 2.22.2007. His cremains have peacefully settled in an urn placed near his former "residence"~ Apartment 2B.
